Is HYQ1512J the right remote for a '01 C70?

I am purchasing a '01 HPT C70 convertible and there are no remotes. My research indicates that the model number above is the correct remote. Can anyone with a C70 confirm this?
Also, I understand that the dealer needs to program your car to the remote. Has anyone had any experience with this when you did not purchase the remote from the dealer? Did they give you any trouble because you didn't purchase the remote from them? Also, did they give you any difficulty because you did not have the needed PIN number? And finally, what did it cost to have the dealer program your remote(s)?
I am planning on purchasing two like new remotes for this car on eBay and would like to know in advance what I may be faced with.
