ETM Recall S80

I've been remiss in my post reading trying to get my 1975 running.
The ETM is a design flaw that fails after 50,000 miles or less. Volvo has a recall in Sweden, not in the USA. Volvo doesn't even put a redesigned part in as a replacement, so the new one will fail again.
Wear items, such as brakes, ball joints, bearings, are expected depending on time and milage. ETMs aren't supposed to fail, and the only replacement parts come from the dealer. Junkyards are not possible.
Bad Volvo...
