Oil dipstick replacement 850 1994

After reading replies, I contacted the dealer I ordered the parts from and told them of the difference in oil level readings. The parts guy realized he had made a mistake in selling me a replacement tube which required a different dipstick. The original (what I had originally ordered) dipstick is still available and is being shipped. I had kept the original dipstick tube and will now just replace the dipstick. To answer a previous question, the plastic "ring" at the top of the dipstick broke, but I could still push the two pieces together and insert the dipstick. Removal required using a pliers to grip the top a pull it out as the ring would pull off the metal dipstick.

Thanks for the replies, they raised enough doubt that I went back to the parts source and questioned what they shipped - turned out they were wrong this time but are making it right.
