Dash Dimming Lights 850

All,

After years of absolutly no problems I ran into one tonight

My dash board lights do not stay on after turning the key on after initial start up. Somethimes they all come on during the first turn of the key somethimes they don't. I always keep the dash lights off during the day and usually in the middle position during night driving.

I know all the lights work when I had a couple of sporatic flashes.

My thoughts the sliding restat or possibly the ignition mechnism.

Believe or not this is the first time I have "ever" had a problem with this car original owner.
