When to replace water pump and tensioner? V70-XC70 1998

I just replaced my timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt. I was going to replace the timing belt idler pulley but elected not to. I'd venture to say that a timing belt idler pulley or tensioner pulley failure is rare. I've not read a post on the board where it has happened. The next change is at 210,000 mi. I'll consider it then.
