Hi Brian...

ksg's advice is excellent. You really shouldn't drive the car in this condition.

Have you had to add brake fluid recently?

In my experience, the symptoms you're describing aren't what would be expected if the booster failed. Sounds like seal failure in the master cylinder, assuming the brake lines and calipers are intact.
