Alternator/Additional Gorunding Cable Kit Improved My Car Performance S70

It's true a detriment is unlikely - except to your wallet. Users' anecdotes and claims on the named website are unverifiable.

You can however, directly check your own car's wiring for improper voltage losses with a digital voltmeter. Connect the meter between any 2 suspect points and look for a voltage difference (under load - in actual use). You will find the losses in a properly functioning system are a small fraction of a volt.

Assuming you find such, your next job will be to determine whether those losses could ever be significant to performance. All fuel injection and ignition controllers are hardened by design against voltage variations. No engineer would design them any other way.

An extreme case is what happens when you start your engine. Typically the primary voltage will drop as low as 8-10 volts while the starter is running - but your injectors still fire and your ignition still starts the car. If the normal very small voltage drops among various parts of the circuit made any difference, how could this be?
