Replacing MAF sensor? S40-V40

With MAF I assume you are refering to the air mass sensor in the intake manifold ducting. I know it as an AMM, and is used on the turbo engines. The early non-trubo engines used a MAP, which is a manifold air pressure sensor mounted in a rear corner of the engine bay with only a thin hose to sense manifold pressure.

No on-line instructions that I know of. Inside the sensor are 4 (?) fragile wires that are the sensing elements. These are very sensitive, make sure absolutely no dirt gets into the sensor. Make sure the only air flowing through the sensor goes through the air filter, and that the hoses (ducting) are all clean. But don't use any cleaners on the MAF and make sure the hoses are dry before re-assembly.

Have fun...
