steam on window V70-XC70

I recently purchased a 1998 v70. I am still in the getting-to-know-it stage. One thing I have noticed is that the right side of the front windshield fogs slightly. This happens on only the passenger side. Does this descripton indicate a common problem with these cars? My first thought is a leaking heater core but the last time that problem plagued me was with my 1963 Chevy II (my first car in the late sixties). I just don't hear about heater core issues anymore. I have been keeping an eye on coolent level and it has gone down to half way between max and min in the resevoir in about 3 weeks time. My 240s coolant level stay rock steady. Does any of this sound familiar or indicates an obvious problem? By the way, is there a v70 book available anywhere?
Thanks,
John
