Consumer reports has the '02 V70 on it's latest "used cars to avoid" list but not the '01 -- statistical noise or is the first year of a series more reliable than the second year? I don't know. They recommend the V70 as a new car.
I think it's naturally aspirated and based on the naturally aspirated service loaners I drove back when I still used the Volvo dealer, the horsepower is more than a snail but not much more.
The ergonomics are generally better than my '98 V70 and the 850, but I've also been annoyed because the P-2 lacks many of the dashboard cubbyholes of the 850 and generation-1 V70.

"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair." -- Douglas Adams (1952-2001)
