ABS/throttle lag after stopping 850 1994

Could it just be in shock? :)
This has happened to me also in my 1995. All fluid levels were within accetpable limits and the engine warm. It does not do it under normal conditions, so I assume it has something to do with the ABS unit talking to the engine management computer and concluding that everything is OK to proceed.
After a real "panic" stop, I also need a few seconds to recover:)
Tell your daughter to keep looking down the road, and try not to rely on ABS. I tell mine that if the ABS kicks in, she made a mistake!
