Odometer gear 850

Volvo wants $50(!!!) for this gear. The odometer guy wants only (?) $25 but I believe he also wants $8 to ship it which should only involve droping it into an evelope w/ a 37 cent stamp. Seems a little excessive to me. Mine has been out for a few months now and I'm going to investigate the local hobby shop's supply of electric car motor gears. Call me cheap but it seems there should be a 15 tooth gear somewhere you could cut down and make work ??
