Are 850's -ve ground lock? Installing alarm here 850

and spent an hour, not to mention having to kill the siren coz of the noise troubleshooting yesterday.
Has anyone personally installed an alarm on these things? I know it has a built-in, but I just want to activate the remote lock with the alarm button. I'm assuming that can be done right? If the car has central lock, all you are doing is sending an electric signal and it will unlock the door.
I got to the connection at the left door and tested with a light and found the circuit that comes on when I lock and unlock. However I'm thinking that may be circuit going to the rest of the doors and not the source circuit that sends the signal to unlock or lock.
Anyone done alarm or remote button lock install? I sure would like to know.
