Leaking Windshield Washer Fluid 850 1994

Windshield washer fluid leaks from the front passenger side (under the reservoir) when the sprayer is activated. The pump works (I can hear it)and I get fluid to the headlights but not the windshield. Since it only leaks when the sprayer is turned on, I think it is probably a hose or possibly a leak at/in the pump. When I started to investigate under the hood, it seems that I might have to remove the inner wheel well to access the pump/hoses/connections. Am I correct? Before I start to tear it apart, does anyone have experience with this type of problem and how is the sprayer pump most easily accessed?
Many thanks,
Ed
