Oil filter cap size S40-V40

I think what he was saying was that the plastic guard on the bottom of the car is in the way and he has to remove it to drain the oil and change the filter. I would also recommend against cutting it unless you buy a metal/aluminum skid plate to protect that area. I would stick with an OEM filter wrench for the filter. I bought a cheap knock-off for my '04 (uses the same size filter...well, actually the plastic housing...the filter is the innerds that you put into that thing) and it slipped while I was trying to torque it to spec...believe torque spec is 18Lbs-ft. You can however find these on eBay for considerably cheaper than at the dealer.
