heat blower fan 850 1996

i have notice that the fan for heat and AC only works on the high setting. with the cold weather we have been having im glad it works at all. if its on high and i turn it down to one of the lower settings it makes a low moning noise. Is this something i can fix meyself or do i have to spend lots of money to get it fixed
