Advice needed...purchase of 1998 V70 aed with small turbo V70-XC70 1998

I'm an old hand at frnt wheel drive volvo's...doing some self repair and know where to buy cheap replacement parts. I may be getting a 1998 awd V70 with 100,000 miles on it and all seems fine except the noise the the drivers front wheel. Is this likely the same hub or cv joint issue on the front drice volvo's...or might this be related to the four wheel drive? A few more questions...the parts I normally use for brakes etc in the front drve V70...do they fir the awd? Wheels? Front suspension parts? And lastly...aside from the body armour of the xc, is there any difference in the mechanicals of the awd V70 and the xc V70?
