Idle Ctrl System Malfunction DTC Code - what is this? 850 1997

take the cover off the throttle body, and you should find a valve like item called the IAC (Idle Control Valve). There is an electrical connection on one end, and two hoses attached to it also. Try unplugging the IAC and plugging it back in, and then clear the codes and see if it comes back.

Alternately, remove the IAC and clean it with throttle body cleaner (cover the electrical portion tight), and a bristle brush like an old firm toothbrush. Once you've done that, reinstall, clear code, and see if it returns.

Could be a faulty IAC that may not respond to either of these suggestions, in which case you will be looking at approx $160 US for a replacement plus any applicable labor, if you don't plan on doing it yourself.
