S40 Shaking Issues S40-V40 2001

I have a 2001 S40 1.9...I have been having some significant shimmy/shaking issues with it for about 4 months now. Originally the shake came from a bent wheel. I took the car to my Volvo certified mechanic (not a dealership) and had the wheel replaced. The shake is still there. The odd thing is that it only happens when I accelerate up a hill at speeds greater than 55mph. If I am on the flats or going downhill, its a smooth ride. My mechanic cannot find anything wrong with the tires, wheels, engine, or suspension, and yes the tires are balanced, and he is officially stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas to help?
Thanks
