Interior lighting fuse keeps on blowing.. 850

VolvoBoy--did you or someone change out one of the overhead console bulbs? I did on mine, and when I installed the new one I accidentally pushed it in too far and the side shorted against the ground. Easy to do as the bulb doesn't have a shoulder on it. As soon as I opened the door and the light came on, it shorted the circuit. When that circuit shorts two things happen--the door or seat belt chime does not stop chiming when you shut the door, and the light in the glove box does not come on. Both are on the same circuit. Why the chime continues to ring after the fuse is blown is beyond me, but it does. Check those two overhead bulbs and make sure one isn't jammed in too far. My friendly Salem Volvo service man tried to tell me it was the sensor in the door, and that it would cost $300 to replace. Dick
