P0340 Cel and no start S70

Last Sunday I was running errands when my 98 S70 T5 (98 k miles) would not start. It would turn over but not fire. I got a ride home and had supper, went back to car and she started right up but had a CEL P0340 "camshaft position sensor malfunction".

I had is cleared and have put on another 175 miles with no problems or CEL.

Am I going to need to replaces the sensor or is this a fluke? What caused the no start? If it happens again will disconnecting the battery clear the code and problem?

Any advise Will be appreciated.
