O2 sensors location 850

Please let me have things clear.

USA spec 850/S70 have two sensors, one before, and other other AFTER the cat.
Euro spec Volvos 850/S70 are supposed to have just one O2 sensor.

My question is that being my 1998 S70 an Euro Spec, I have found two O2 sensors, one on the top of the exhaust manifold and the other, right in the cat "entrance".

Whats wrong here? does your rear sensor is placed IN the cat or after it?

Thanks
