Parking 1998 v70 for 6 weeks

I never understood all these people who easily disconnect the battery for a short time off the road. If you are considering a trickle charger, VW makes one which is solar powered (avail on ebay) and pluggs into the cig lighter.
I just park my car and expect it to start two months later. Remember, if you disconnect the battery, your radio code will be needed and you alarm will not be active. Also, your tranny and emissions will have to "re-learn".
