Hi Klaus, Thanks for the info. My Volvo dealer quoted me $2700 for a 4 year , 50,000 mile extended warranty with $100 deductable. Seemed very high but he didn't want to come down. Are you saying that this can be negotiated for significantly less?? or are you suggesting a different warranty company. I did get a quote from Warranty Direct for $2200 but it was for less miles . KBB values the car at $16,200 for a private sale and $13,500 as trade in so I thought the $16,000 they suggested was reasonable and they didn't seem to want to budge.. I was thinking of waiting another month just before the lease is up to try and chew them down some more. BTW I defintely will get an extended warranty from someone as the repairs on this car are a fortune. I'm getting a little slippage during the 1-2 shift so I sure don't want that repair if I decide to keep it. Thanks for your input, any other thoughts would be welvome.
