Oil Leak that Will Not Stop!! 850 1993

I tried the warm engine/loosen oil cap trick last week. The cap certainly did not float, but it didn't exactly get "sucked down" either. It just sat there, and was fairly easy to pull up - I couldn't tell if there was any resistance due to suction or just from gravity. Replaced the flame trap last year, and the old one looked fine.

Is there another easy way to tell if the PCV is gunked up?

scurvy
