General Questions V70-XC70 2004

I was just looking at that...apparently there is one (yes, 1!) hose that is considered the crankcase ventilation hose that's on the left side of the intake manifold as you look at the engine from the front of the car. It is suppose to be checked at 120K miles and cleaned or replaced then...very strange, but that's what the literature I have says. Also, it mentions to check the large intake hose (from the air filter box to the throttle body). Apparently the Turbo model isn't much more difficult. It does mention checking the oil dip stick for smoking too by lifting it out while the motor is running as an indication that things may need cleaning. I don't think you're going to have the same issues you had on the earlier cars with this one....I just changed my entire pcv hose system on my '98 S70, so I know what a hassle it could be on them.
