Baffling fuel leak at fuel pump

I checked FCP Groton web site and it appears your fuel pump is the same design as my 98 s70. Awhile ago, I replaced the fuel pump but did not see that there was a rubber gasket on shaft of the pump. If the gasket is not seated properly or missing, fuel comes out on the location you mentioned. I misdiagnosed the problem so I now have another perfectly functional fuel pump.

Remove the return lines. Unscrew the circular cap cover, pull the pump and check the condition of the rubber gasket. Replace and tighten the cap securely. Reinstall the return lines.

Good luck!
