preventive maintenance / ETM / transmission fluid V70-XC70

Hello all:

Any recommendations for radiator hose replacement? Mine have 72 K now. I remember in the old days they were good for 3 years or so. Supposedly they have gotten much better and mine look fine. Also, major tune up with new wires, etc? Any recommended parts vendors. I have used eEuroparts and FCP Groton in the past with good results.

Volvo picked up the tab on cleaning the ETM and PCV system a few days ago. They aren't going to replace anything unless it is past redemption. I must say the car runs like new now, but for how long I don't know.

I spent a lot of time researching the Volvo tranny fluid for the 5-speed Aisin Warner transmission. Many other brands have this type of tranny and require JWS 3309 transmission fluid such as Audi, Lexus,Saab, some GM and so on. Mobil has an application for this spec but I don't think it is synthetic like my Volvo dealer claims Volvo's is. The long and short of it is I can't figure out any way to get around having Volvo flush out the tranny at a cost of $300 bucks. Ouch
