headlight out again 850 1996

oh oh...getting there. Got the thing opened, and then hit the wall. So, the whole thing will come out of the hole? I was attemping to figure out how to get the white clip from the wiring harness to let go of the bulb, doing the contortionist thing, all in 37 degrees with some snow. I got my little dentist mirror and can see the harness and stuff---just want to make sure I can twist the whole bulb/harness thing and it will all come out more out of the "hole" so to speak.
