Los Angeles mechanic search 850 1994

I am very excited to now own a Volvo, but I am not excited about finding a good and affordable mechanic in the LA area. I just bought a my wagon, and am eager to get it checked out and tuned up. I plan to drive it out east in a couple of months and want to make sure its ready for the trip.

It's a 94 wagon - 146,000 miles - It has a new transmission which is still under warranty. I know everyone has a different opinion about mechanics, but I'm just interested in the necessary fixes not the extras right now. Also, my mechanical knowledge is very limited which makes me especially eager to find someone who won't take advantage of that.

I really appreciate any recommendations.

Lucy
