Conversion to EV (electric vehicle) 850

OK gang here's one to ponder.
I have a '94 850 turbo wagon with a salvage title (wrecked on the passengerside door post)
Something is wrong with the tranny (auto) and I'm expecting a $2000 repair bill if I decide to fix it.
I've just "discovered" electric vehicles and am thinking about converting this one to EV/Solar instead of fixing the tranny or selling it for junk.
But... I would need to convert the tranny to a 5 speed, or even a 3 speed.
Anybody have any ideas on what it would cost just to do that?
And any ideas about the EV/Solar conversion?
