90K miles, recommendations going forward?

Have heart. My 93 850 (they say the year to avoid) has reached 317,000 miles. While the tranny went at 289k miles (I blame that more on tranny cooling line going while my 17 year had car and didn't stop soon enough then the tranny itself), the engine is still running strong with just regular oil changes & tune ups being done to it.

If a 93 (13 years old) can do 220 miles (round trip) commute daily I would say your still 'teenage' will go much farther given the good start you've given it.

Just expect consumables to be higher in the future as things do wear out. Wheel hubs, struts and such like that.

And since they are not covered under most extended warranty plans don't bother getting one of those. Spend the money on keeping up with fluid changes and that type of thing.
