Expect the worst, hope for the best. The reason valves bend/break is because they are still open when the piston reaches top dead center. It is a 5 cyl, so 2 or 3 pistons will be at top dead center at the same time? Start looking at used engines from reputable salvage yards to get prices, a rebuild will cost you between $2500-$3500.
