I often wonder what it is like driving around in 3rd gear all the time. The tranny is in "fail safe" mode, and has been for a year. I am surprised the dealer didn't tell you that. If you get your codes checked at Autozone or Pepboys and none are for the tranny, it may be that the switch for "winter" mode is broken.
The ABS light is on, indicating that you have NO abs. Email Vic Rocha(sp) and get him to fix the module for you - cost = $150 plush shipping. Much better than the dealer.
Check the color of your tranny fluid. A year of slipping torque converter could be quite bad. You may want to flush it.
