ETM Fixed , How about transmission? S80 1999

Well, the tranny fluid is suppised to be pink/red, so I suppose if you are looking at a yellow dip stick it would appear to be yellowish. Wipe it on a paper towel next time. So long as it is not dark brown, it should be OK.
Fail safe = limp home mode, are the same. You are not getting 1st or 4th gear and the torque converter is not locking like it is supposed to. Driving this way is not good for the tranny or gas milage. 4th gear should put you just under 3000rpm at 70.
Please get your trouble codes read soon. There must be some, or your "W" switch is broken and you are always driving in winter mode.
