850 wont start 850 1994

I had a friend who can plug in and check codes take a look with me. There was a code in memory that said there was an exhaust camshaft sensor intermittent failure. The book says if it fails it will cause the car to not start or if it fails while it is running it will shut it down. I orderd the sensor from my local dealer ($175). We cleaned the plugs agin and it started and ran fine today, but I am not going to drive it until we change the sensor. This seems to line up with the intermittent part of the failure. I'll post something Monday and let you know how the replacement goes.

Thanks for all your help. I am pretty good at mechanical repairs and upgrades, but all this computer stuff makes me nuts.

Harvey
