ETM failures and giving up on Volvo V70-XC70

Hi Everyone,

I'm folowing the posts on V70 and I'm stuned by ETM failures and high cost of replacement. But eventually will have to replace my Volvo.

Do they replace it with a beter one ( updated) or with the same crap they put in the first place? I realy would like to get a newer Volvo but I'm kind of turned off by this ETM failures. I would like to keep the car longer than 200k.

I like the Cross County or a nice V70 but I'm not thrilled by AWD ( Arizona) Were 850 any better?

'90 765 has 225K and start showing the age; reasonably reliable.
