ETS light on again after Volvo service V70-XC70

The ETM issue afflicts the '99, '00, and some '01 models -- not later or earlier models. My understanding is that the replacement is a modified design that is more reliable. I've never heard of any '02 or later models being affected.

No 850 has this particular problem. The ETMs in question weren't introduced until the second year of the next generation, and the 850s all had a traditional mechanical throttle rather than the so-called "throttle-by-wire" system.
