S70 engine mounts, exhaust manifold, ouch!

My tale of woe.

My S70 sounds like an old beater, making a "chuff-chuff-chuff" noise. I figure it is an exhaust leak, so I go to Midas. Midas finds front and rear dead engine mounts, which probably contributed to the worn out flex coupling on the exhaust manifold.

I need the car back, so I say "fix it now". It costs me $1400.

OUCH!!!

Then I go to FCPGroton.com, and find out that I could have spent a lot less money on the parts. That's what I get for being in a hurry.

Kudos to Midas, though, for catching the mounts. They also fixed a broken ground cable which they saw, gratis. I don't usually use them for anything more than struts, mufflers, etc., but they did a decent job.
