wiring trailer lights S60 2001

I'll make this the last post in an absurdly long thread about trailer light wiring!

I talked to the service manager of the RV dealer that's building the hitch to see if they had the Modulite units available. He happened to have a S60 in his shop when we talked; he was actually removing the hitch, etc., to install on the customer's new S60. He strongly recommended going with the Volvo hardware, and noted that in his experience OEM was more reliable. He did also recommend keeping the connector in the trunk (to avoid corrosion), and not attaching it to the hitch outside the car.

Note that he made this recommendation even though he could have sold me a Modulite kit or something similar.

Modulite is about $75-80 USD, about $85-90 CAD. The Volvo harness is $129 CAD.
