The CE light will not go out until you change it. Gas mileage and performance will suffer as well. Send me an e-mail at redalrt4@yahoo.com and I'll send you a very detailed .pdf file with pictures showing how I removed my intake manifold and changed the knock sensor on my 98 V70 GLT. It should be about the same way on the 850.
