window and electric mirror circuits S70 1999

Windows are up, for which I am grateful, but:
Driver window switch produces no result except a ratcheting sound inside the door. Other window switches on the driver door panel do nothing, and make no noise. Electric mirror control produces no movement on either mirror.
Waiting for it to stop raining/snowing and warm up a bit before I take anything apart. Anyone have suggestions on where to start and most likely prognoses? TIA
