Check Engine Light & ECM-130A Fault V70-XC70 2000

Hello again!

For a little background [if you haven't seen it already]... The wife and I purchased a 2000 XC70 AWD/SE, silver with 114k miles for $7,200 on 3/28/06. It is in excellent condition except for brakes, rotors, shocks, top engine mount, wipers, all which I am repairing within the upcoming week. The timing belt has been changed and the car has been very well maintained, both inside and out.

Before we purchased the car, the check engine light was on. I had Volvo perform their 44-point inspection and they found fault code ECM-130A. They told me it was vacuum-related. We purchased the car and drove home (from Florida to Virginia) and the light went out about 1/3 the way along the 830-mile trip. It stayed out for a day and yesterday it has come back on. The temperature has started warming up here in Virginia (85 deg. yesterday), and we had new tires installed, but these are the only changes that took place that I can think of.

Any ideas what I can do to troubleshoot this further?

BTW, Thanks to all who have helped me along the way during this purchase and after.
