850 Cold Air Intake 850 1993

A while ago I bought a cold air intake on eBay for my 850 but later realized it wont fit because the MAF sensor cant be taken off the airbox. I've seen pieces advertised for later models that hold the MAF sensor separately from the airbox. I was wondering if I bought somehting like that whether or not I could hook up the intake. Are there any other parts I need to modify to fit it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Heres a link to one of the parts I was wondering about:
