A/C problems S80 2000

I just bought the wife a s80 t6 a couple of weeks ago from a friend of mine. It only has 72,000 miles on it and it had all the service records so this problem really bothers me. While driving along the a/c is on and the climate control is doin its thing the car is cooled for about 15mins then all of a sudden the air coming from the vents is warm as though just the fan is on and no a/c. It goes like this for a few minutes then you can feell the air getting cold again for a few more minutes then warm again. Now the air is never really cold but it does cool the car I just don't know what is causing the warm air thing. Any ideas?

And while I am here, I noticed that the s80 forum is under AWD is that for "all wheel drive" and how would I know if my wifes car is AWD?
