Hi! In my 98 v70 glt, every once and a while, maybe 4-5 times monthly, when stopped at light, the idle will drop about 300 rpm down to 600 for a few seconds, then its back to normal. Its very infrequent.

I had almost the same thing on a 740 I used to have, it was the idle air control valve.

On the 98, I have cleaned the throttle body and removed the IAC for a good cleaning and it still does this from time to time. Could it be that the IAC is slowly going bad? Thank you!!!
