V40 Front Exhaust S40-V40

Hello brickboard.

This is a great site in response to my last post about instrument panel lights I got great info. I thought I'd try again to solve my current problem. I have a small crack in the flex pipe section of my front exhause pipe. THe replacement part costs around $500. Does anyone have ideas how to repair the busted section of flex pipe without replacing the whole pipe? Am I better off just replacing the whole pipe with an OEM part (that costs $480). Is there some non OEM alternative? Thanks!

-SS
