Mixed Tire Sizes V70-XC70

Thanks Klaus,

The tread is good on all (~7.5kmi on all).

The reason is economic; the question is technical.

Perhaps the difference in rolling diameter is neglegible. How much mismatch in rotational speed is necessary befor invoking traction control? I don't know, but the more I think about it, I suspect the difference is an order of magnitude more than that with the difference in rolling diameters.

The tire companies say don't mix across an axle (understandable), and all around symetry is preferable.

There are a number of high performance vehicles that use different sizes on the front and back (with forethought of engineering).

Thanks,

R. Stuart
