ORIGINAL GRAY WATER TANK CAP 850

we bought an 95 850 almost 3 yrs ago with 124k on it. now its 154k. so i can make some comments on this car....ITS GREAT I LUV IT, AS GOOD AS THE OLD 240S!!! we had new timming belt and water pump and radiator rpalce within the first yr we owned it. water pump wasnt bad but since it was open for the timming belt...might as well. left front drive shaft was the only other major repair since we had it. speedogear broke, i replaced it with bay 13 help. great place. but over all iam a happy 850 owner!
when old blue(my 84 240 205k)died the other day wife came to get me with her 850, got home and it was BOILING WATER!!!! never overheated just spittin out water...after 10-15 inspection under the hood, i noticed the water fill tank cap....WAS PEEIN WATER OUT...figured it was an over flow thing. filled it up with water again tightened that cap and run it a little bit same thing now only it aint peein water it gushin it out the cap...looked at cap and its SPLIT!!! called my buddy at volvo parts and he said oh yea them old GRAY ONE are all doin that...THEY GOT A NEW ONE THATS GREEN..SO YOU WILL KNOW YOU GOT THE NEW ONE...so any of you still got OLD GRAY WATER TANK CAP...get a new one IT WILL BREAK...$15 aint to bad.....
