1993 850 glt? New to FWD 850

Hi all-

I found a 1993 850glt for sale. It has 100k on it and has been sitting for 4 years. The front fender and headlight assembly were banged up so those will need to be replaced. I am familar with 700 and 900 series volvos but have never dabbled in the FWD world.

Aside from the aforementioned, the car is complete, looks good and started right up even after sitting for so long and looks good aside from the headlight and fender. What else should I look at on this car? They are asking a $1000 but I'm sure they would take $200-$300 bucks as they need to get rid of it.

The front window switches didn't work when I tried them but the rears did and of course there was a christmas tree of dash lights that lit up after I started the car, most notably the check engine and brake lights. Was the glt a turbo? I looked but didn't see a turbocharger unless it is concealed really well on these cars. I only drove it around the block as the plates were expired and it is not insured and it seemed to drive ok. I'm not interested in it for parts, I want to fix it and sell it.

What do you think of this deal? Thanks,

Jess
